We are excited to announce the launch of our new project, Couriers Go Green! This international project began in January as part of the Erasmus+ program. The kick-off meeting took place in Volos, Greece, from January 31 to February 1. During the meeting, the consortium members discussed tasks related to project management and implementation preparation. The consortium consists of seven members from various European countries, including Greece, Cyprus, Belgium, Romania, and Hungary.
The primary objective of Couriers Go Green is to develop an Educational Package, a Certifiable Training Course, and a step-by-step Green Strategy process model. These resources aim to assist major players in the transportation sector in making environmentally-friendly changes to their operations, thereby contributing to environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
To ensure that the project meets the specific needs of various groups, such as courier and transportation employees with diverse backgrounds and starting points, all project results will be tested based on criteria such as comprehensibility, effectiveness, terms understanding, and plain language. This will allow for the creation of a tailor-made and adapted VET (Vocational Education and Training) program.
The key output of the project will be the Courier Go Green e-Learning Hub, designed to help the target market adopt greener practices in courier services, postal services, transportation, mobility, and related areas. A Learning Platform will be developed to integrate the educational package with information, tools, and additional resources, providing an enhanced learning experience. Online learning platforms offer numerous advantages to both professionals (learners) and companies, revolutionizing the process of acquiring new knowledge and skills.
Stay tuned to follow our activities and achievements in the Couriers Go Green project!
